Χθες διέρρευσαν δύο φωτογραφίες από το εσωτερικό του και σήμερα η Volkswagen ανακοίνωσε ότι το νέο Golf είναι κατά 12% πιο οικονομικό και εκπέμπει 17% λιγότερο CO2, σε σχέση με το Golf 6. Το νέο Golf πήρε έγκριση TÜV καθώς και ISO 14040 και 1404.
Το Golf 1.6 TDI, φορά τον νέο TDI 1.600 κ.εκ. της οικογένειας EA288, ο οποίος θα αποδίδει 105 άλογα, με την απλή έκδοση του, να έχει μέση κατανάλωση 3,8 λίτρα/100 χλμ και να εκπέμπει 99 γρ/χμ. Η έκδοση BlueMotion έχει μέση κατανάλωση μόλις 3,2 λίτρα/100 χλμ και 85 γρ/χλμ εκπομπές CO2. Η Volkswagen αναφέρει ότι θα είναι το καθαρότερο αυτοκίνητο της κατηγορίας του, ακόμη και από το Toyota Prius, χάρη στο ελαφρύ του βάρος, μόλις 1.050 κιλά και στον χαμηλό αεροδυναμικό συντελεστή, 0.274 Cd. Η έκδοση Golf 1.2 TSI BlueMotion εκπέμπει 113 γρ/χλμ CO2
Οι πωλήσεις της πεντάπορτης έκδοσης του νέου Golf θα ξεκινήσουν από τον Νοέμβριο του 2012 και μέσα στο 2013 θα είναι διαθέσιμο και σε εκδόσεις με plug-in υβριδικό κινητήρα και υγραερίου. Παράλληλα η Volkswagen έδωσε και τις πρώτες φωτογραφίες από την διαδικασία κατασκευής του, καθώς και φωτογραφίες από την παρουσίαση των χαρακτηριστικών του.

Wolfsburg 31st, August 2012 – The new Golf is showing due to numerous technical innovations to significantly better environmental performance than its predecessor. The TÜV NORD certifies through its Environmental Commendation the completely new vehicle that is first introduced to the world on Tuesday in Berlin. In certification based on ISO standards 14040 and 14044 are reviewed the environmental impact of golf through its entire life cycle – from the first design sketches to the production and use phase to the recovery.
