Η Peugeot Sport ανακοίνωσε όλα τα φετινά της αγωνιστικά για το 2013 όπου υπάρχουν 3 αγωνιστικά 208 αλλά και το RCZ Racing Cup. Το 208 T16 αντικαθιστά το 207 Super 2000, και ήδη έχει ξεκινήσει εδώ καιρό τις δοκιμές εξέλιξης ώστε να είναι έτοιμο για να συμμετάσχει σε εθνικά και διεθνή πρωταθλήματα μέσα στους επόμενους μήνες.
Το αγωνιστικό είχε παρουσιαστεί στην έκθεση του Παρισιού τον Σεπτέμβριο του 2012 και φορά έναν 1.6-λίτρων turbo κινητήρας απόδοσης 280 ίππων στις 6.000 σ.α.λ. και 400 Nm ροπής, διαθέσιμη από τις 2.500 σ.α.λ. Η κίνηση μεταδίδεται σε όλους τους τροχούς μέσω ενός 5-τάχυτου σειριακού κιβωτίου και δυο μηχανικών διαφορικών, απουσία κεντρικού, και ανάρτηση προσαρμοζόμενη ανάλογα τις συνθήκες της επιφάνειας του αγώνα.
Το μήκος του είναι 3.962 χλστ., πλάτος 1.820 χλστ., με το μεταξόνιο του να φτάνει τα 2.560 χλστ. Για τους ασφάλτινους αγώνες φοράει monoblock αλουμινένιες ζάντες 18 ιντσών με ελαστικά 225×40 και για τους χωμάτινους η διάμετρος πέφτει στις 15 ίντσες και οι διαστάσεις των ελαστικών είναι 215×65. Ζυγίζει 1.200 κιλά και το κόστος κτήσης είναι περιορισμένο από τους κανονισμούς της FIA και δε θα είναι υψηλότερο από €180.000 χωρίς τους φόρους. Οι παραγγελίες του θα ξεκινήσουν από τον Μάρτιο.
Το Peugeot 208 R2 υπάρχει στην αγορά από το 2012. Η Peugeot το χαρακτηρίζει ως την ιδανική επιλογή για όσους θέλουν να πάρουν την πρώτη γεύση από αγώνες rally ή απλά να απολαύσουν το πάθος τους και σε σχέση με την έκδοση παραγωγής, διαθέτει νέα σπορ ανάρτηση, ρυθμιζόμενα αμορτισέρ της Öhlins και ένα ειδικό υδραυλικό σύστημα διεύθυνσης. Φορά μεγάλα φρένα της Alcon ενώ στο εσωτερικό υπάρχει roll cage και bucket καθίσματα της Sparco.
Μηχανικά φορά τον ατμοσφαιρικό 1.600αρη κινητήρα απόδοσης 190 ίππων με 190 Nm ροπής ο οποίος συνδυάζεται με ένα 5-τάχυτο σειριακό κιβώτιο και ένα μπλοκέ διαφορικό περιορισμένης ολίσθησης.
Η ασφάλτινη και η χωμάτινη έκδοση του αυτοκίνητο κοστίζει 37.500 ευρώ ως κιτ, ενώ αν θέλεις να το πάρεις έτοιμο από το εργοστάσιο πρέπει να δώσει 57.500 ευρώ.
Το 208 Racing Cup αποδίδει φορά τον EC5M FF κινητηρα απόδοσης 140 ίππων και συνδυάζετα με ένα 5-τάχυτο μηχανικό κιβώτιο. Ζυγίζει 970 κιλά και κοστίζει μόλις 19.900 ευρώ, (23.900 ευρώ έτοιμο για να τρέξει στους αγώνες)
Τέλος το RCZ Racing Cup συμμετέχει στο ενιαίο πρωτάθλημα RCZ Racing Cup από το 2012. Οι μετατροπές δεν είναι πάρα πολλές και δεν θα διαφέρει σε πολύ με το αυτοκίνητο που υπάρχει στις εκθέσεις. Οι τροποποιήσεις εκτείνονται στον υπερτροφοδοτούμενος κινητήρα THP των 1.6-λίτρων, ο οποίος έχει λάβει την απαραίτητη μεταχείριση από την Magneti Marelli και τώρα αποδίδει 50 επιπλέον ίππους, φτάνοντας συνολικά ο οδηγός να έχει στη διάθεση του 250 άλογα, ενώ η ροπή βρίσκεται στα 290Nm. To μοτέρ συνδυάζεται με ένα σειριακό κιβώτιο με paddles αλλαγής στο τιμόνι.
Επίσης φοράει νέα αγωνιστική ανάρτηση αλλά και σύστημα πέδησης το οποίο προέρχεται από AP Racing. Οι υπόλοιπες αλλαγές είναι οι κλασικές που έχει ένα αγωνιστικό αυτοκίνητο για την αύξηση της παθητικής ασφαλείας, με roll-cage, ζώνες πολλαπλών σημείων, bucket κάθισμα κλπ. Η συνολική μείωση του βάρος ανέρχεται στο εντυπωσιακό νούμερο των 250 κιλών (1.080 κιλά). Κοστίζει 54.900 ευρώ στην sprint έκδοση και 61.900 ευρώ στην endurance.

PEUGEOT SPORT’S 2013 MODEL LINE-UP
Peugeot Sport’s customer competition programme will be marked by a number of new product launches and developments in the course of 2013. Three ‘motorsport’ versions of the 208 are due to go on sale, while the RCZ Racing Cup is proving extremely popular for the second year running.
The 208 T16: the ultimate challenger!
Since its unveiling at the Paris Motor Show in September 2012, the 208 T16 – which will also be on display at this year’s Geneva Show – has been undergoing intensive testing. As part of its development programme, it will take part in a number of gravel and asphalt rallies in the second half of the year, and the target is to clock up at least 10, 000km in testing ahead of its homologation.
The 208 T16 complies with the FIA’s R5 technical regulations and, from 2014, will enable privateers and subsidiary teams to challenge for victory at national level and in international competitions like the European Rally Championship.

The 208 R2: by popular demand…
The 208 R2 has already proved a huge international success as it kicks off the first year of its career. Sales to date total 74 cars in 16 countries (Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland). This year, 208 Rally Cups will be organised in France and Belgium.
The 208 R2 is emerging as the benchmark in its class, as testified by the result of January’s Rallye Monte-Carlo which saw it celebrate its debut with a one-two finish in the hands of privateer competitors!

208 Racing Cup: a step on the motor racing ladder
The ‘circuit racing’ version of the 208 delivers an exciting blend of enjoyment and low running costs. Its specification is similar to that of the standard car, although it has been stripped of certain comfort-related features and comes with additional safety equipment with a view to its use in motorsport. For even greater driving pleasure, the 208 Racing Cup also packs certain features seen on the 208 R2. It is equipped with road tyres to keep costs to a minimum and will star on the big grids expected at this year’s Rencontres Peugeot Sport meetings. The original target was to sell 30 cars, but this figure has already been reached, so there could well be another production run this year to cater for the international demand!

The RCZ Racing Cup: the feline racer
The RCZ Racing Cup was launched in 2012 and is easy to convert from ‘sprint’ to ‘endurance’ trim thanks to the reversible kit that can also be ordered. Its appearances in one-make series in France and Italy have enabled it to win over the hearts of racers, while the ‘endurance’ version won both the VLN series and the Nürburgring 24 Hours in 2012. The car enjoyed success earlier this year, too, in Australia, at the Bathurst 12 Hour.
