Το όνομα Alexander “Sasga” Selipanov ίσως σου θυμίζει κάτι. Είναι ο άνθρωπος που σχεδίασε την Bugatti Chiron, το Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo concept, ενώ έχουμε δει και τις εντυπωσιακές προτάσεις του για την Ferrari 612 GTO Concept αλλά και τη νέα γενιά της Porsche 911.
Αυτός λοιπόν ο 33-χρονος Ρώσος σχεδιαστής αποφάσισε να αφήσει την αγκαλιά της Bugatti και να γίνει ο επικεφαλής σχεδιασμού της Genesis, το πολυτελές παρακλάδι της Hyundai, στο Global Genesis Advanced Studio της εταιρίας, στη Γερμανία, ενώ θα αναφέρεται στον Luc Donckerwolke, τον επικεφαλής παγκόσμιου σχεδιασμού τη Genesis.
Ο Selipanov αποφοίτησε από το Art Center College of Design στην Καλιφόρνια το 2005, και από τότε εργάζεται για λογαριασμό της VW και εκτός από την Bugatti, όπου ήταν επικεφαλής εξωτερικού σχεδιασμού το διάστημα 2014-2016, εργάστηκε και ως μέλος της ομάδας εξωτερικού σχεδιασμού της Lamborghini για την ανάπτυξη της Huracan. O Ρώσος θα συμβάλει ώστε η Genesis να έχει 6 μοντέλα στην γκάμα της έως το 2020.

Genesis, the luxury automotive brand, announced that Alexander Selipanov will join the brand as Chief Designer at the Global Genesis Advanced Studio, located in Europe. Alexander Selipanov, widely known as Sasha, has been mainly responsible for exterior design of sports cars at luxury marques including Bugatti. With his diverse experiences, accumulated expertise and tremendous passion for cars, he will be a further true asset to the global Genesis design team.

Born in 1983 in Tbilisi, Georgia, the Russian national earned his bachelor’s degree in transportation design at Art Center College of Design in California in 2005. After graduation, he joined the Volkswagen Design Center in Potsdam, Germany, and participated in exterior design projects for all brands of the Volkswagen Group. After that, he joined the Lamborghini exterior design team in Sant’Agata, Italy, for the Huracan project in 2010.
In 2014, he was appointed as Head of Exterior Design, Creative at Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. During the past two and half years, he was responsible for the exterior design of the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo show car, presented at the Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung 2015, and the Bugatti Chiron, unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show 2016.
